Acro Class

Learn the foundations of acroyoga in a fun and supportive environment!

What is acroyoga? Acroyoga is a partner-based practice that combines principles and poses of acrobatics and yoga into a fun and playful movement practice. Generally, acroyoga consists of moves that happen low and close to the ground that are referred to as “L-basing.” Consistency with acroyoga helps build trust, communication skills, passive strength and flexibility, proprioception, and many other pearls of wisdom!

Beginner Class Info: In this weekly beginner acroyoga class, we will practice and revisit – the basic poses and foundational skills of acroyoga, safety and spotting techniques, drills and conditioning to build strength in the practice, terms and communication within the acroyoga community, acroyoga games, and more!

Open Jam: Class will be followed by an open jam each week. A jam is open space to play and practice the skills you are working on. No direct instruction is given during jam time. Practicing safe spotting is still expected and requested during open jams. Note: This space cannot support higher standing acro skills due to a low ceiling clearance.  $5 fee for open jam.

Instructors: There will be a rotating cast of experienced acro practitioners teaching this class each week.
